I am a value added associate (VAA) of TTI assessment products. These products are designed to provide research based solutions to dramatically improve communication, productivity, and satisfaction. Our new Trimetrix™ System is the newest, most revolutionary and reliable job selection and training system in the world. What is an assessment? It’s information that describes your areas of strength and level of effectiveness, as well as areas that need improvement. It can be formal or informal. Formal assessment may include behavioral or values assessments and 360-degree feedback, or routine evaluations and performance reviews. Assessment and feedback from others is critical for a clear, honest evaluation. Many organizations are turning to behavioral assessments for both hourly workers and managers. In the late ’90s, only 5 percent of Fortune 500 companies used some type of assessment. Today, that figure is climbing to 65 percent. A study in 2000 by American Management Association showed that nearly half of 1,085 employers polled use at least one assessment in their interviewing process. What we do know very well is what we meant to say or do, or our intention. You measure yourself by your intention. Others measure you by your behavior. This is one of the underlying reasons for using assessments. When you understand your behavioral style, values and attributes and how your style might impact others, you can adapt your behavior and you can create a roadmap for enhanced communication and improved potential. Assessments can help you:
